I offer art classes for children and adults in my spacious Bunker Road studio. Children's art lessons focus on basic drawing and painting techniques. Lessons are based on learning to see objects as a pattern of lines and shapes which is a way of developing one's own expressive “tool box” of drawing and painting skills. The children's class meets on Thursdays or Fridays 3:30-5:00 p.m.     A minimum of six weeks is requested for sign up and the cost is $90.00.

     Three courses of study are available for adults on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. An Introduction to the Study of Color explores classical as well as modern color theories. Personal expression is encouraged during painting assignments. This class is open to all levels of artist and most mediums. The second course is Basic Drawing. Lessons focus on basic drawing techniques. Students learn to “see” objects as a variety of lines and to develop their own expressive drawing skills. The third course of study is Beginning Watercolor. Students explore the exciting mysteries and possibilities of watercolor while learning basic watercolor techniques. Color and composition principles are integrated within each class.

     Classes are open and sign- up is ongoing. All three adult courses are offered on Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Instruction is individualized and students may customize their schedule of attendance, in coordination with the instructor. A minimum unit of study of six weeks is requested. The cost for a six session unit of study is $90.00.
